Much like Jaden, Flint’s parents play a big part in his current personality.

Flints father, Markus Velaius Kelder (picture coming soon), is 3/4 Silven Elf. The Silven Elves are a brute warrior race of elves. Unlike their thin High Elf cousins, Silven Elves are very muscular and fierce looking. They also are born with natural tattoos on their bodies (similar to the Maedar).

Silven Elves also have an extreme lust for battle. And even though Markus is 3/4 Silven, the love of the fight was still within him. So much so that just to pacify himself, he would enlist his services in battle to various kingdoms.

Over the years, Markus became well known over Emerace as "The Demon of the Forest". As one can guess, whichever side had Markus as an ally was always the victor.

Over the years, Markus had found his mate in life. A High Elf named Nindë Faelivrin became his bride, and the mother of his son Flint.

As Flint happily turned 4 years old, Nindë wanted their new family to settle down in a home of their own. They eventually found a place to reside in an area where apparently other elves were moving to. This area would later be named Daggertrace. Once there, Flint quickly made friends with the son of the Corsair family, Jaden.

Even though the family had a home, Markus still fought in battles, as warriors from other kingdoms would search him out for his services. He could refuse a good fight and Markus would be off for months at a time to fight in wars.

Then it happened. Markus was seriously injured in a battle. The kingdom he had sided with had faced a guild known as "The Legacy of Ka". The fighters within the Legacy were far superior and were more than a match for Markus.

Both of his legs were broken in the battle. He could never fight again. But Markus refused to believe this. To him, the fight was what he lived for. He began to read up on curative spells, thinking that if he could repair his legs, he could return to battle with an added edge.

He studied the craft night and day, but to no avail. He learned various spells, but nothing that could help him. Markus shut himself away from the world, locking himself in his room for weeks on end. Everything else meant nothing to him. Including his family.

Because of his selfishness, the elven bond between him and Nindë grew thin. As a result, Nindë's mental health began to disintegrate. And sadly, young Flint was getting lost in the middle of all of this.

Then it happened. Markus completely severed the bond between him and his wife, feeling it was only clouding his mind. This act completely shattered Nindë. She lay in bed, barely breathing as Flint stayed by her side.

Flint awoke the next morning only to find his mother gone. To this day, he knows not of her true fate.

From that point on, Flint's personality began to change. Once a happy and cheerful child, Flint became cold and distant with many people. He left the school and soon began to practice thievery.

But throughout this whole event, and with rumors of his family beginning to spread amongst the town, Jaden stayed by Flint's side the whole time. This meant the world to Flint, as he felt Jaden was closer to him then his own parents were. He feels that Jaden is truly the only person he can rely on.

This is the real reason Flint is at odds with Deanna. He feels that Deanna is trying to take away the last bit of family that he has in his life. He sees her as a selfish and spoiled girl. He refuses to lose Jaden, whom he considers a blood brother, to the likes of her.

Flint also makes friends with owner of the inn, Donovan. Donovan took pity on both Flint and Jaden, and wished only the best for the boys.

Flint soon left his home and moved into the Inn. Donovan agreed to give Flint a place to stay, providing he worked for him by cleaning the Inn. Flint gladly agrees knowing that this is a decent deal (plus it gives him and Jaden a good place to hide their stolen goods).

Extra Fact: Since Flint is partial Silven Elf, he was born with natural Tattoos on his back and stomach.
