Zasha Kryschenyi. I met her about two years ago on a forum
I frequent. She PMed (Private Messaged) me about a sprite edit I had
done of one of her favorite video game characters. From there
we became friends.

I don't remember when but she took an intrest in my work
and my manga. She was a major supporter of my series and was
ever so anxious about my work being printed. Last year, I had a shot at
being published under a well known Manga publisher. Unfortunately,
events beyond my control caused me to lose that chance.

Zasha still supported me and never lost faith.

She was always a caring person and was a major
source of support for me. And even though I never got
the chance to meet her face to face, I saw her
like a distant family member.

Earlier this year, Zasha was taken in a motocycle accident.
My life had been less than stellar at the time, and this event
had completely destoried me.

The night I recieved the news of her passing, I said a special
prayer (I am not a religious person, so this was different
for me). The prayer was not to any god, or fictious father figure,
but was to Zasha herself, wishing her a safe journey.

I had originally had a set of Feng Shui candles
and I wanted to light two of them in her memory.
Unfortunately, I had left them at my father's house in New York. I
live in Florida. Thankfully, my father helped me, and lit them for me.
He too had said a prayer of his own, wishing my friend a safe
journey.

The candles that were lit were Metal and Fire. Metal for
her strength, and Fire for her persona.

Though I felt the prayer wasn't enough. Her support in my goal
meant alot to me. I contacted her husband and asked him for a
special request that I felt would be a worthy gift to her.

He agree and thus, I have dedicated the first Volume of
The Phoenix Sage Saga© to her memory.

For the entire run of the first volume, this page and a link to it will stand.

Thank you William for agreeing to this. And thank you Zasha, for
being everything you were.
