As the name suggest, One Time Use Spells (or simply Spells) are spells that can be used by anyone, at anytime, anywhere, but only once.
These little trinkets are created when a magic user encases a single spell in their hands and compresses it until a thin shield appears around it. What is created is a small marble-like object that houses the spell. Each orb is the colour of the spell it represents.
Each spell must be activated then released in order use it's effects.
A majority of the Spells (around 95% of them at least) are actiavted the same way: by squeezing the orb in the palm of one's hand. Only a small number of Spells are activated by other means (such as a command word).
There are however only two ways to release the spells. Certain Spells will release it's effects only after it is throw and makes contact with an object. Other spells release their effects after the user simply opens their palm after activation.
The Spells' strength and effect range can be told by how bright the orb is, and how vibrant the colours are.
Should a Spell be activated on accident, only a Magic User (low level and higher) can de-activate it and reseal it. |
